Through a partnership with Kohl’s Department Stores, the Midwest Division of the American Cancer Society will provide grants in support of high quality community-based research activities that address the purpose and priorities of the CBPR program, as described below.

Program Priorities

  • Research must be undertaken in the Milwaukee/SE Wisconsin area.
  • Proposals must demonstrate community involvement and address health disparities in one or more aspect along the breast cancer continuum, from prevention, to screening, to treatment.
  • Priority will be given to those proposals that demonstrate a potential for changes in community or health care systems that, upon completion of the project, could lead to sustained efforts, stronger partnerships, and a lasting impact.

Funding Parameters
