Review Process and Selection Criteria

Review Committee of 8-10 drawn from communities, experts, the American Cancer Society Midwest Division Board, and representatives from all four states

  • Full applications requested from LOIs that show evidence of merit
  • The Review Committee will score and rank applications on:
    • Fulfilling CBPR Grants Program’s criteria
    • Strength of partnership(s)
    • Proposal quality: impact, evaluation mechanisms, sustainability
    • Budget justification
    • Feasibility
 
Notification of Grant Awards
  • Following the Review Committee’s consideration of full applications, applicants will receive written notification of the Committee’s decision regarding their application.
  • Those applications that are approved for funding will receive one-half of the total award within fifteen (15) business days of the award notification
  • Those applications that are approved will receive a second installment of funding following the receipt of an acceptable Mid-project Report, usually halfway through the project.
  • The final installment of funding will be provided upon receipt of a satisfactory Final Report
