Life at Hope Lodge

The Sandra J. Schulze American Cancer Society Hope Lodge® in Rochester offers private suites for the comfort of its guests and their caregiver. Fostering a home-like environment, the Hope Lodge is equipped with a community dining room, kitchen, family room, library and laundry facilities. The Lodge also offers guests a wide variety of cancer programs and services that provide information, resources and support to ease the cancer journey.

In addition to the amenities mentioned above, each room at the Hope Lodge has a private bath which is also handicap accessible.  Every room is equipped with two Select Comfort Sleep Number beds - one double bed and one twin bed.  Linens and towels are also provided.  If you are coming to stay here at the Hope Lodge you only need to bring your medications, toiletries, and any other personal items you may need during your stay.  You will also need to provide your own meals.  You may either bring your groceries with you or you can do your shopping once you get to Rochester.  We would be happy to recommend a grocery store or other places to do your shopping.

The Hope Lodge hosts many regularly scheduled events each month to bring comfort, camaraderie and smiles to help both guests and caregivers on the cancer journey.

  • Pot-luck dinners
  • Occasional evening meals served by local community groups
  • Breast cancer support group
  • Mennonite singers and other musicians
